Lewis Hamilton supports plans to introduce a Rwandan Grand Prix to F1

Lewis Hamilton has voiced his support for the idea of Rwanda potentially hosting a Formula One Grand Prix in the future. This follows his recent travels across Africa during his summer break, which included a visit to a refugee camp.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali recently noted that Rwanda has “presented a good plan” and is serious about establishing a grand prix on a permanent circuit.
Speaking ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix on Thursday, Hamilton expressed his views: “We can’t keep adding races in new locations and continue to overlook Africa, a continent from which the rest of the world takes so much without giving back.”
Hamilton stressed that holding a grand prix in Africa would highlight the continent’s beauty and promote tourism, questioning, “So why are we not on that continent?”
Hamilton, 39, has been a strong advocate for bringing a race to Africa. However, efforts to revive the South African Grand Prix have yet to succeed.
