Kenya elections: Uhuru Kenyatta strenthens lead with over half the ballots counted

With over 50 percent of the ballots counted, Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate have established a wide lead.
The most recent numbers indicate that Kenyatta was leading his nearest opponent Raila Odinga, by 54 percent of the vote to 42 percent.
Kenyans voted Monday for a new president, for new governors and new senators.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of Kenya expects to preliminary results in the presidential race by Wednesday.
