Kenya Airways profits continue to grow

Kenya airways registered a net profit of Ksh. 2.03 billion (US$ 20 million) for the year ending September 30.
This is an increase from Ksh. 1.44 billion (US$14.8 million) for the same period last year – an increment of 35 percent. This growth in profits has occurred in spite of the eurozone economic crisis and higher fuel prices.
The Kenyan carrier recorded a 22 percent increase in passengers and a 16 percent increase in cargo transported.
The company continues to grow and in order to ensure continued success, the company revealed of a 10-year plan to roll out new destinations across all the six continents and acquire a new fleet.
Kenya airways is one of the larger airlines in Africa.
