John Harmon named chairman of the National Black Chamber of Commerce

John Harmon (pictured), the current president of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey has been appointed chairman of the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) .
Harmon, who has sat at the helm of the New Jersey chapter of the organization since 2007, was installed as Chairman of the Board on Friday last week.
He will continue in his role as President of the New Jersey chapter of the Black Chamber and handle his duties as national Board chairman. Among his first priorities will be to advocate the establishment and support of minority owned by African American consumers and by highlighting the importance of the black dollar.
Black consumer in the United States spend at least US$1 trillion dollars annually on goods and services.
