Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, has led the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to a historic second consecutive term, capturing 14 of the country’s 15 parliamentary seats. The provisional results mark the first time the NDC has won back-to-back general elections, significantly expanding the majority it first secured in 2022 after previous failed attempts to hold power in the 1990s and 2000s.

The opposition New National Party (NNP) retained a single seat in St. George North West. The NDC dominated the popular vote with 61 percent (37,369 ballots), compared to the NNP’s 36.8 percent (22,567 ballots). Voter turnout stood at a robust 63.3 percent among the island-nation’s 97,031 registered electorate.

These provisional figures, which align with early international reporting, await final certification by the Parliamentary Elections Office.
