Election 2012: Obama continues to hit at Romney business experience

President Barack Obama on Thursday continued his assault on Mitt Romney’s business experience, saying the Republican presidential hopeful’s time as a private-equity executive was valuable but not for someone trying to inhabit the White House.
The president said while Romney was at Bain Capital his goal was to maximize profits for himself, his workers and investors. “That may be the job for somebody who is engaged in corporate buyouts … but that’s not a job for somebody being president,” Obama said.
The Obama campaign has put Romney’s time at Bain Capital under intense fire in recent weeks, releasing ads with workers who said his business dealings sucked the life out of their company. The ads have also caused concerns among some of the president’s supporters that he is taking his criticism too far.
