Telecommunications firm Digicel has vowed to bring a heightened sense of innovation and greater focus on environmental awareness to patrons attending the annual Denbigh Agricultural and Industrial Show.
Digicel’s Sponsorship Manager Tahnida Nunes said during yesterday’s launch of Denbigh that the telecommunications company would continue to invest in initiatives that not only showcase the best of Jamaica, but make significant contributions to the overall development of the island.
“… Digicel will be capitalising on this year’s theme ‘Opportunity and Technology Driven’ with interactions and exciting activities with our Digicel 4G broadband service,” Nunes said, explaining that it would have a ‘4G fan zone’ at the festival for patrons – which will allow them to interface with the technology – including playing Internet-related games, getting first-hand information on the service, and getting the opportunity to win exciting prizes.
As part of its ‘Go Green’ initiatives, the company will have its ‘Go-Green’ team on hand at the festival to help heighten awareness about protecting and preserving the environment and some of the initiatives that they have employed to encourage their staff members to be more environmentally aware.
