Caribbean passports climb the ranks on the world’s most powerful passports list

The 2024 Henley Passport Index has revealed improvements in the rankings of several Caribbean passports.

Barbados maintains its position as the most powerful passport in the Caribbean, moving up globally from 22nd to 20th place, with visa-free access to 165 destinations.

The Bahamas follows closely, rising from 24th to 21st place globally, granting its holders visa-free entry to 161 destinations.

St. Kitts & Nevis ranks third among Caribbean nations, advancing from 25th to 23rd place, with passport holders enjoying visa-free access to 157 destinations.

St. Vincent & the Grenadines also climbed the rankings, now positioned globally at 23rd, up from 25th, with visa-free access to 157 destinations. Antigua & Barbuda moved from 27th to 26th place globally, with visa-free access to 153 destinations.

Trinidad & Tobago improved its global ranking from 29th to 27th, with its passport providing visa-free access to 151 destinations. St. Lucia ranks globally at 30th, up from 32nd, with visa-free access to 148 destinations.

Grenada holds the 31st position globally, up from 32nd, with visa-free access to 147 destinations.

Dominica’s passport is ranked globally at 32nd, with visa-free access to 143 destinations. Belize saw a significant jump from 52nd to 48th place globally, with visa-free access to 102 destinations.

Guyana ranks globally at 55th, with visa-free access to 89 destinations, sharing this position with Jamaica, which also provides visa-free access to 89 destinations.

Globally, the most powerful passport belongs to Singapore, offering visa-free access to 195 destinations. Conversely, Afghanistan holds the least powerful passport in the world.
