Black Tech Week to highlight black entrepreneurs, showcase opportunities in Africa, Caribbean

Miami entrepreneur Felecia Hatcher and her husband husband, Derick Pearson, have organized Black Tech Week, a series of events that will highlight black entrepreneurs as well as business opportunities in Africa, Haiti and Jamaica.

Events associated with Black Tech Week run from February 23 to February 28.

Speakers include Nigeria’s Chinedu Echeruo, who founded HopStop, an online transit guide that Apple acquired for US$1 billion.

Hatcher and Pearson co-founded Code Fever to help people from impoverished communities learn to code, and they run ice cream truck company Feverish Pops.
