The One Bermuda Alliance, led by Cannonier, won 19 of 36 seats in Bermuda’s House of Assembly, with a total of 15,949 votes.
During the swearing-in, Mr. Cannonier said his government would use the its term for two “big changes” to Bermuda: to grow jobs and to “bring people together.”
He also said his administration would seek to extend the absentee ballot to Bermudian students abroad, “making this the last election they are denied a voice in the decisions of the country.”
