Bahamas: New gov’t pledges not to introduce new taxes

New Minister of State of Finance of the Bahamas., Michael Halkitis
The incoming minister of state of finance, Michael Halkitis has revealed that the people of the Bahamas should not expect any new taxes despite the country’s debt-to-GDP ratio.
Halkitis said that the introduction of new taxes would not be in the best interests of the country, and would only place more strain on the people of the Bahamas.
The new government primary focus would be on jobs…
