Algeria Advances AfCFTA Implementation with Tariff Schedule Publication
Algeria has published its Provisional Schedule of Tariff Concessions (PSTCs) under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement, marking a significant step towards its operationalization.
The publication of the PSTCs, often referred to as “gazetting” or “domesticating” trade commitments, constitutes the formal promulgation of trade policy. This process ensures transparency and disseminates critical information regarding new regulatory frameworks to businesses, organizations, and the general public, facilitating informed participation in the AfCFTA.
