Atiba Hutchinson, Kadeisha Buchanan named Canada’s male and female soccer players of the year respectively

Atiba Hutchinson has been named Canada’s male soccer player of the year.
Hutchinson, 32, plays in Turkey for Instanbul-based Besiktas J.K. club.
The elegant Hutchinson is Canada’s most influential and important player, a status reflected Friday in his fourth Canadian male player of the year award.
“We are very proud of Atiba Hutchinson,” Canadian coach Benito Floro said in a statement. “He is the player that coaches and teammates want to have around.”
Hutchinson, who also won the award in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
Kadeisha Buchanan named Canadian women’s soccer player of the year
Meanwhile 20-year-old, defender, Kadeisha Buchanan was on Thursday named the Canadian women’s soccer player of the year.
According to Victor Montagliani, president of the Canadian Soccer Association, “Kadeisha has had an incredible year, shining brightly on the world’s biggest stage at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 with millions of Canadians watching. Still only 20 years old, she will be a leader for Canada at the international level for years to come.”
