Obama’s poll ratings continue to soar – even as he prepares to leave office

As U.S. President Barack Obama readies to leave the White House, he continues to score high marks on his 2-term record

According to the latest poll, 50 percent of those surveyed approve of Obama, according to the new Quinnipiac Poll, compared with 43 percent who disapprove. This is his highest approval rating since shortly after being re_elected>
A December 2012 poll found him with 53 percent approval.

The out-going U.S. President’s approval rebounded sometime around March, and for the most part, has continued on a glide path since then.

Last week, a CNN poll revealed that 57 percent of those surveyed, approved of Obama’s job performance – 1 point short of the level of satisfaction in his administration since September 2009, when 58 percent of the respondents who were polled approved.
